One time i have been asking myself: What instruments could you recreate with basic synthesis?
I always have been fascinated by the possibilities you have with synthesis and the worlds you can
create with it. Generally speaking, i had a few ideas in mind (Pianos, Flutes, Saxophones).
I started by choosing Sylenth1, since it is my primarily used synth, and because it is a simple
subtractive synthesizer using basic waveforms. I could not really make that great sounding
Pianos, i could only make like 5 Flute sounds, and making somewhat realistic Saxophones for me
was nearly impossible.
But then i got an idea. let me make some Guitars. I started working on a few presets, then it
became even some samples. After that i extended the pack so much that i decided to finish it
and release it to the public. I was impressed by how accurate these guitars sounded with the
fact that i was only using this synth, a guitar amp and some basic effects.
The fun i had making this pack was huge. I loved coming up with some melody/bass licks and
designing the sounds itself. Over time while i was working on some music where i even tried
to use some of the guitar licks/strums in the pack, they helped me out a lot filling out some
empty spots in my songs.
Of course, nothing replaces a real guitar, that is straight facts, but this was my attempt
of somewhat emulating guitars with synthesis. I think it sounds good, has a fair price tag and
is definetly worth buying.
